English Activity Class 2 - This lesson focus’ on the miracle of John’s birth to Elizabeth and Zechariah and his role in preparing the world for Jesus, God’s ultimate gift to us. Lesson Title : The Birth of John the Baptist. Bible Reference: Luke 1:5-25, 57-80; Isaiah 9:6. Target Age Group: Preschool. Learning Context: Children’s Church. The students discover that Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous and blameless before God in a time that God had been silent for 400 years Believers can trust God to keep all His promises and obey Him as they wait for His promises to be fulfilled Bible Passage Luke 1 5 25 See also Malachi 3 1 4

The following lesson on Zechariah was prepared for students ages 5-11. Students will discover that Zechariah reminded God’s people of His future promises about the Messiah and they were encouraged to return to the work of rebuilding the temple. Many of Zechariah's visions were concerning the coming Messiah which was Christ and concerning the church. Zechariah's visions from God looked to a future kingdom which was the church with a future king who was Christ. Important messages from Zechariah are: God is in control of everything.
