The Missing Piece Bible object lesson is based on an old trick of reconfiguring 4 pieces in two different ways. In the first way, the 4 pieces create a complete rectangle shape. The second way, reconfigures the pieces to make a rectangle with a piece missing in the center. This missing piece is the anchor to the whole lesson. Children need to understand the importance of their place in the body of Christ. It takes a group of individuals with unique talents and abilities to contribute God’s work in the church. This lesson uses a jigsaw puzzle to illustrate how all “pieces” (and people) are significant.
