1. Sanctification is God’s gracious work. Grace is God’s unmerited favor. It’s His loving posture toward all people. God does not sanctify a person because they are worthy or good; God sanctifies a person because of His mercy. This means that sanctification is God’s free gift (Ephesians 2:8).
